Restaurant Week 2011
RESTAURANT WEEK

Dining Out On A Dime!

Dining Out On A Dime!
What is Restaurant Week?
It's a time when participating restaurants offer a minimum of three courses for a very nominal fee. The special prix-fixe meals offered during the event typically cost $20, $30 or $40 per person, excluding beverages, tax and tip, depending on the restaurant.
Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to dine out for a much smaller expense than you might usually incur. Most of all, it's a great way to experience something new at your favorite spot (if you're a regular steak and potatoes person, this might be a good time to try the Rhode Island Calamari you've always been curious about), or reinvent your dining choices altogether by checking out some of the new and trendy restaurants in your area.

What Else Should You Know About Restaurant Week?
Don't plan to simply show up! Most places will be booked to capacity during this time, so it's best to plan your visit earlier in the week when restaurants are not as busy. In fact, the first rule of thumb in restaurant week is: timing is everything.
There are no tickets to purchase for the event, so always call the restaurant ahead of time and make reservations. If the restaurant does not accept reservations plan to visit the restaurant during off-peak days and hours. To make the experience more enjoyable, create a list of the top restaurants you would like to visit, so that you're not disappointed if the place you chose is already booked. Popular Restaurant Week choices will be booked up quickly, so the sooner you get on the phone to make your reservations, the better.
If you are having the prix-fixe meal, don't expect to be able to make any substitutions. If you aren't interested in the event meal, participating restaurants will be offering their standard menus (at their standard prices) as well.

Happy Hour's Smiles Davis Says:"It's not quite as cheap as a 'dine and dash', but almost."
And since Happy-Hour.com can neither recommend nor endorse the devious act of the dine and dash (besides, we cannot guarantee that you could outrun the wait staff), we have compiled a list of some participating restaurants offering delicious deals during the month of September.
